Boppy Total Body Pregnancy Support Pillow

It seems like ever since I found out I was pregnant, I haven't been able to stay asleep all night due to discomfort. I just cannot find a comfortable position to sleep in. I find myself waking up a lot and tossing and turning to find a comfortable spot.

My sister in law Amy suggested that I get this special pillow called Snoogle. I went to Babies r us, and this pillow was $60.00 so I didn't buy it there hoping I could find it cheaper on Ebay or something. Ebay wasn't really any better with the price. They had some "buy it now" auctions for $45.99 but then the shipping was $15.00 so it figured out to be the same price. I did some searching around at different stores like Walmart and Target. Target had the Boppy Total Body Pregnancy Support pillow for $50.00. I decided to just go ahead and get it.

Unfortunately I don't have the Snoogle to actually compare it to, but I think it was a waste of money. It is two funky shaped pillows put together and does not offer much support in my opinion. I find myself getting tangled up in this pillow and wind up tossing it to the side of the bed or on the floor.

I'm not sure if I should attempt to sell this pillow on Ebay and buy the Snoogle or just deal with it.

  1. well my friend who just had her baby told me none of them work. i havent had a hard time w/ it yet but expect to when i'm further along but i dont think a pillow can solve the problem and unfortunately we just have to deal w/ it. --Jill

  2. Hey Robin! What is the discomfort exactly that your having? Or is it just overall in general? I take it you didn't have this with Aaron? That sucks. Can't you take the Snoogle back and get your money? Have you tried sleeping with a pillow in between your legs where your knees are for lower lumbar support? It might take some pressure off your back. Sorry your having a difficult time, this time around. :( Keli

  3. I think it is just general overall discomfort. I tried just using regular pillows, I think that works better than the fancy expensive pregnancy support pillows.I guess I could try to take the pillow back to Target.

  4. You know, only 3 years ago, Amy was pregnant with Zoe, and I really don't remember it that well. I guess the man doesn't remember the pregnancy as much as the woman. Sort of like the movie, Titanic, the man just remembers the boat sank, and that they had sex in the car, the women remember all sorts of other things.

Anyway, if I recall correctly, Amy really did like the snoogle.

  5. I'm having kinda the same issues...laying on my side w/ a pillow between my knees & the comforter kinda folded up underneath my belly works pretty well for getting comfy. I still do end up waking up in the middle of the night but I figure it's good practice for those middle of the night feedings that are coming up... :)
